AP Leaks were Legally Investigated

In 2012, the CIA thwarted a plot by al-Qaida in Yemen to bomb a US-bound airliner. Inside info was leaked to the AP and published. Leaks related to national security can put troops and intel officials at risk around the world. The Justice Dept legally subpoenaed the phone records of the AP to discover the source of the security leaks. No conversations were monitored. The Pres made no apologies for protecting US interests. If leaks had occurred under a republican president, they would have been screaming "treason! execute!"
I don't see a problem.
