Let's Cut Even More Regulations

A 41-year-old man died Friday night after falling into a running meat blender at an Oregon plant that had been cited recently for safety violations.

Industrial hazards have been under increased scrutiny after a fertilizer plant explosion in Texas killed at least 15 people two weeks ago. It had not been inspected in about 30 years. It was allowed to be built just feet away from a school and an old folks home. (Details here.)

Add these two recent disasters to the BP oil spill, the financial meltdown, the West Virginia coal mine that collapsed...

Tell me again, Dearest Regressive Republicans, how we don't need regulations and should "let the free market do whatever it wants."
